The Powell Peralta Rat Bones 60mm skateboard wheel has roots in a different world—it began as a “Rollerbones” product. According to skate lore, Steve Caballero spotted the wheels while visiting the factory and decided to test them on his skateboard. The result? He loved them. Lighter than the Cubics and Mini Cubics of the era, the wheels offered a new level of performance and feel. Their responsive design led to the older models being phased out and replaced by what would become a classic: the Rat Bones.
